Rich has been practicing therapeutic massage professionally since 2009. As a former Anatomy & Physiology instructor at Shenandoah Valley School of Therapeutic Massage, he brings a depth of knowledge, insight, and experience to his heart-based and caring practice. Rich is now the lead massage therapist and spa manager at The Seasons Spa at Mimslyn Inn Hotel in Luray, VA and offers travel massage to surrounding areas.

Rich has been guided to research and understand the deeper spiritual dimension of the human body and it's connection to our world. He's been studying and practicing various forms of energy healing since 2012, and carries proficiency certification in Integrative Energetic Medicine from The White Winds Institute in Winchester, VA and has studied Quantum Touch and Healing Touch.

A full body massage is all about re-mobilizing tissues that may be tired, achy, tight or stiff.
My approach is to calm the mind and body while also engaging the muscle tissue and fascia.
This means deep restful relaxation while also promoting pain relief and movement!
Heated basalt stones are used to massage the muscles, providing deep penetrating heat which is comforting and soothing.
I'll also used my hands and forearms to address the fascia tissue which will help relieve restriction and immobility.
Energy Healing is the art and science of listening, reading and engaging with the body's subtle energy system in order to facilitate wellness.
In my pracitce this includes working with the Energy Field / Aura, and Chakra System.
When your energy system is balanced you feel realigned, grounded and embodied.
Add-Ons can be added to just about any service, and are a cost effective way to deepen the experience without changing the session duration.

In this 4.5 hour class, you will learn to massage the back, neck, legs, feet, arms, hands and face.
Most people disrobe for their massage; some people feel comfortable removing all clothing and undergarments while others feel more secure keeping on their undergarments or some clothing.
In general, the less clothing you wear, the wider the variety of massage techniques can be used, as certain techniques require skin on skin contact.
What is important is that you feel comfortable and relaxed during your massage.
Certain types of massage can be done over the clothing.
Be assured that you will be discreetly covered by a sheet and blanket.
