Ashiatsu massage, a contemporary Western approach to ancient foot pressure techniques, consists of slow, deep, compressions and myofascial stretches applied with the therapist's feet to deliver a uniquely deep massage.
With the receiver lying face down on a comfortable padded massage table, the therapist positions herself above and uses overhead bars as a support to safely modulate the amount of pressure used.
The receiver is unclothed and appropriately draped as with the full-body massage sessions.
