We are thrilled to announce that we have finally reopened! We will only be seeing vaccinated clients and we will not be taking new clients for the time being. Please visit the Prepare for Your Massage page for our new policies and procedures. We are so excited to finally be able to see you again! We are in the same space as Optimum Physical Therapy, right next to Goodwill, closer to the dry cleaner and CVS.
There is plenty of free parking and no stairs at this location! See you there! We are happy that you have discovered our practice and we look forward to providing you with the best massage experience possible. We are highly trained, exceptionally talented Licensed Massage Therapists whose aim is to give each client the most amazingly relaxing, pain-reducing, soul-nourishing massage they have ever had, every time.
Susan B. Graves, LMT, (she/her) started Soul Source Massage Therapy in 2005 and spent several years building her practice and perfecting her craft. Susan B. Graves, LMT, (she/her) a native of Glen Mills, PA, has been practicing in the area since 2005.
Susan holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Syracuse University and spent six years performing all over the country while calling New York City her home.
Before leaving New York, she completed a year-and-a-half (1200 hour) degree program at the Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy, the oldest massage school in the country.
Since completing the bulk of her training, Susan has made Massage Therapy her career, practicing full-time in Maine, Montreal, and now here in PA.

Since each massage is tailored to each client's needs, the entire session can be spent focusing on a specific problem, part of the massage can be more targeted and the rest can be for relaxation, or the whole time can be utilized for a general full-body relaxation massage.
We use a combination of techniques during our sessions on the massage table, including Swedish, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Reflexology and Deep Tissue.
This relaxing yet incredibly energizing type of massage is done on a floor mat with the client wearing loose, comfortable clothing.

Myokinesthetic Treatments (with Susan only) are fast and gentle techniques that work with your nervous system to relieve pain without surgery, medication, or costly and time-consuming treatments.
During a Myokinesthetic treatment you are fully clothed, and no oils or creams are used.
The treatments are typically 10 to 20 minutes long.
I would suggest watching the "Theory and Philosophy of Myokinesthetic System" first, but they all are interesting and educational.

With the client's permission, Susan may use a Japanese folk art technique called "gua sha" to enhance the treatment.
Often used by acupuncturists and practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine, this technique can help to alleviate muscle pain and tightness.
Using a porcelain tool (most often a miso soup spoon!), the practitioner rubs it's edge over the client's skin with a repetitive motion.
As this is done on different areas of the skin (usually just on the back), red marks appear and will remain in the places where there are Trigger Points, tight muscles or unhealthy tissue - almost like a magic pen!

Dear Susan, Thanks so much for the great massage today.
I always feel so much better after a session with you.
You are one of the best massage therapists I have been to in the twenty-five years of going for massage!
Having a massage is my way of hitting the RESET button for not only my body, but also for my mind and spirit.
Massage not only clears toxins and physical discomfort, my body gets important attention and positive acknowledgment for all the great things it does for me on a minute to minute, day to day basis.
