I began my massage therapy career back in 2003, and by 2006, bought my first wellness center in New Orleans. It was right after Hurricane Katrina, and our beloved city was still struggling with reconstruction, but Chakra Massage Studio was open and became a popular spot for locals to check in, have some tea and get a great massage. I later expanded to become The Chakra Centre, offering a variety of wellness classes and workshops.
In 2012, some partners and I opened Covington Massage & Wellness Centre, and it was there that my business skills really came into focus. What I am most passionate about, organization and efficiency, other people dread. Over the years, I have helped many colleagues streamline their business practices to help reach and expand their goals, and I can help you as well.

My name is Melissa Pearson Hobson, and I am the owner of Covington Massage & Wellness Consulting.
I graduated from massage therapy school with a 4.0 back in 2003, and received additional certifications in both Prenatal Massage and Infant Massage/ Movement Therapy.
I've enjoyed working in the Wellness Industry for over 15 years, and have experience running a private practice, teaching in the field, and directing larger wellness centers.
I have a BA from the University of New Orleans in Inter-Disciplinary Studies and I am currently working on my Masters in Accounting at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
