After finishing the University of Akron in 1993 and graduating Summa Cum Laude, I worked with juvenile delinquents for a few years. At a health and fitness expo with my "little sister" (Big Brother and Big Sister program), we discovered the massage school. I thought: "you can get paid for that?". So I was able to make my hobby my career and started at the Ohio College of Massotherapy in 1995.
I became licensed in June of 1997. I worked at Mario's International Spa in Aurora and Akron for 8 years. In 2002, I was recruited by the Ohio College of Massotherapy to teach. I taught brick and mortar and online for 10 years. Because I taught online, I was able to teach when I moved to the Outer Banks. I taught and worked at Mario's. I miss teaching, so I do tend to pass on information that I have accumulated through the years when needed.
I'm available to teach anyone who would like to massage family members. MY SANCTUARY isn't as much a place, as I am not a Spa but a place you go while receiving massage.
