Serene Step Massage
Beginning in the East, ashiatsu's history comes from various places. Many different styles of barefoot massage have originated from India, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines and China; some are done on the floor, others require balancing props like chairs, bamboo rods and even ropes. Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy(R), "ashi" meaning "foot" and "atsu" meaning "pressure", is a western style of barefoot massage that can be very deep.

I use bars that are suspended from the ceiling to balance my weight, allowing me to adjust the pressure to your liking. You will lay on a massage table and cream is applied to the entire body before the bodywork begins. I use my feet to apply specifically designed strokes, resulting in fascial release, freeing vertebrae and subsequently, vertebral discs.

I also use my feet to massage your legs, feet, and hands.
Services
I offer all of the time that you pay for.
Please arrive on time**.
If you have never seen me before, I ask that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to fill out some paperwork.
No time is taken away for undressing, your consultation, or dressing.
Swedish massage, with classic movements that include sliding and kneading, are great for relaxing.
If late arrival is inevitable, your service time may be shortened in order to keep on schedule.
You are still responsible for the "full" session.
Ok, so you know the obvious benefits of massage.
Pain relief.
Stress relief.
Reduces anxiety.
It just feels great.
Ease headaches and migraines.
What about the long term benefits?
A regular massage once a month or bi-weekly, can be truly beneficial to your body and mentality.
Depending on your pain level, you might need to start with once or twice a week, then gradually lessen the visits, to maintain your health.
Massage also gives your immune system a boost (it stimulates lymph flow- the body's natural defense system) and improves flexibility, helping to prevent injuries.
