Body Language Massage and Wellness was originally founded in 1999 by Teri Schiavi LMT, in Phoenix, Arizona. It is now centrally located in the historic German Village neighborhood of downtown Columbus Ohio. Since its inception, it has been focused on holistic massage, bodywork and spa treatments. Our location is at the corner of Whittier and Macon, just east of the Brown Bag Deli.

We offer a three-pronged approach including our custom integrated massage for body, holistic wellness coaching and meditation for mind, and Reiki for spirit. Combined, these work to unify the body-mind, and to encourage growth and healing so you can live your optimal life. If we pay attention, it will always tell us what it wants, and I respect that.

Trigger point and deep tissue are excellent tools for relief, but if the therapy is too aggressive, the muscle can fight back in an unhealthy way. If you are guarding against pain during your massage, the result is more tension and pain later, instead of less. This is why good communication between you and your therapist is so important.
