Just moved here recently and went here for a couples massage with my husband and it was AMAZING! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere was relaxing and clean. Rebekah and Jen were both very talented.

A hot stone massage is a type of massage therapy used to help you relax and ease tense muscles and damaged soft tissue throughout your body.
During a hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body.
The stones are usually made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat.
The stones may be placed: along your spine, on your stomach/chest/face/palms/feet and toes.
Massage therapists may hold heated stones as they massage your body with long strokes, circular movements, vibration, tapping and kneading.

Professional athletes and their coaches have sworn by massage therapy for years, going so far as to keep massage therapists on the payroll indefinitely.
Until recently, there hasn't been conclusive evidence that massage really does have a positive effect on athletes.
However, thanks to new studies and some backing by reputable sources, the benefits of massage are being taken seriously.
And those benefits are not just for the pros.
They're extended to anyone who participates in a regular exercise program.

Swedish massage is a great introductory massage for many reasons, number one being that it involves firm, yet gentle strokes.
You are placed on a flat elevated massage table with a cutout for your face.
Beginning on your stomach, the massage therapist will begin long, firm brush-like strokes along your back and eventually over your shoulders, arms, then down to lower back and legs.
Halfway through the appointment you will be asked to turn over, finishing the second half face up for the treatment of your upper shoulders, arms and fronts of legs.

After filling out a short questionnaire about your medical history, you will be introduced to your therapist and talk a little bit about what you need out of your session.
Let your therapist know about any areas where you have been experiencing pain, tightness, or discomfort; if you would like deep or light pressure; or if you'd just like to relax.
Your therapist will then step out of the room as you get on the massage table.
You should dress to your comfort level and get under both the top sheet and blanket with only your face/head, arms and hands outside of the covers.
