Tara began working with horses at nine years old as a working student. She continued to develop a strong foundation in many equine disciplines in Delaware Valley College's (DVC's) four-year degree program, where she graduated summa cum laude with Bachelors of Science degrees in Equine Studies and Business.

Tara excelled at DVC, winning the college's most prestigious Founder's Day Award, which is awarded to one outstanding student each year. Tara also passed the British Horse Society's mock tests: stage one riding and stage two horse care and knowledge. DVC's curriculum provided Tara with a broad education, with coursework including Dressage, Hunt Seat, Driving, Vaulting, and much more.

Tara focused her studies on equine health, anatomy, and massage therapy. She studied under Tara Miliziano-Crowley and served as a Teaching Assistant for DVC's Equine Massage course.
Services
Tara Kolesar is an independent saddle fitter-not affiliated with any company or brand.
She was certified by Mike Scott's school of English saddle fit and flocking program.
In this school, "Anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, saddle fit and flocking technique are taught at every class meeting and are emphasized throughout all hands-on work."
Mike obtained his certification from the Cumbria School of Saddlery in Penrith UK in bridle-making and intermediate repairs in 2001.
Complete saddle flocking was also addressed during this schooling.
Many of us can relate to "hitting the wall" during our workouts.
We can relate to waking up sore and stiff the next morning after a hard day of yard work or over exhorting ourselves.
We also know how, when the stars align just right, a workout that we struggled to do before becomes easier.
Massage helps to increase a horse's endurance.
It relaxes the muscles to relieve tension and stiffness and improve flexibility.
It strengthens muscle and can improve the muscles memory of movement patterns.
Travel and Shows can also bring on stress that massage can reduce.
Tara is driven to succeed and holds herself to very high work ethics and standards.
She is always great to collaborate with, very talented and sharp.
Tara is both strategic and tactical, and drives to a successful completion of anything she puts her hands to.
Tara does an excellent job in all aspects of her work with training and horse care.
She is extremely knowledgeable in horse anatomy and has a natural ability and sense when working with horses.
She is well-educated in horsemanship and demonstrates her skills effortlessly.
The first session for each horse will last roughly 1.5 to 2 hours.
You or your trainer must accompany your horse for this session and fill out a client intake form, which can be emailed to you prior to the session.
During this session, we will evaluate the strides and movement in hand/on the lunge if possible.
We will also discuss your training goals and problems areas that you wish to address.
We will perform an overall palpation of the horse to identify areas of concern.
When we massage a muscle for the first time, we intend to improve it, not necessarily "fix it" immediately.
