Spectrum Center School of Massage offers a Professional Massage Training Program in preparation for Washington State licensure. Spectrum is dedicated to promoting excellence in massage therapy and instilling confidence, competence and professionalism in its graduates. Class size at Spectrum is limited to 14-16 students, and all hands-on courses include a qualified instructor and one to two teaching assistants for efficient, individualized learning.
The WA State Massage Board has commended "Spectrum for their high instructor to student ratio." In addition to the classroom instruction and outside hands-on practice the students have an opportunity to give sports massages at high school track meets, seated chair massages at local events, and to work in the Spectrum Massage Clinic.

50 will be completed as student clinic hours and the other 50 will be supervised lab hours to practice modalities learned in class.

Semester 2 reviews the systems with emphasis on pathologically related conditions, the inflammatory response, and tissue healing.
Massage indications and contraindications are addressed.
This class covers the basics of planning, building, and managing a successful massage practice.
Topics include professional ethics, WA State Massage Laws and Licenses, business planning, marketing, billing for insurance claims, and financial record keeping.
The class includes an introduction to Pathology.
