I work from my home studio in Cumberland, RI at the end of a quiet street. You will notice how peaceful it is as soon as you enter. I maintain a slow-paced massage practice, allowing more individual time for each client, before and after their massage. No pressure to rush out after. I want you to hang on to that post-massage-high for as long as possible!

Please make yourself at home here and read About Me and my Massage Musings page to get to know me a little better. If you'd like to set up an appointment with me, you may either Call or Text and I will call you back to confirm the details of your appointment, give you my home address, and also answer any questions you might have.

As the Delta variant is increasing in our area, I will be wearing my mask during your massage.
Masking is optional for you.
However, due to the high transmission rate of Delta even among those of us who are vaccinated, leading to breakthrough cases, I ask that you be mindful of your activities in public prior to your massage when considering whether you should wear a mask.
In accordance with the CDC recommendation that vaccinated people can safely remove their masks when with other vaccinated people, I am beginning a new policy within my massage practice.
For 30 years I was a massage client, before changing careers from healthcare (I was a Medical Lab Technologist and then Phlebotomist at the RI Blood Center for many years) to Massage Therapy.
Usually I sought out massage for relief from anxiety and tight, sore muscles.
As a result, I understand what it's like to receive massage and how vital it is for my Mind/Body Self-Care.
I wanted to give back to my clients all the enormous benefits of Massage and pass on the "Ahhhhh's" that I received from wonderful caring massage therapists for all those years, and still do!
A 60 or 90 minute massage commencing with focused work on the scalp, neck, shoulders and upper back.
The relaxation continues to the feet for 20 minutes of healing Sole Therapy.
This marriage of pressure points intermingled with a soothing massage, allows the nervous system to melt and let go.
The treatment concludes with a whole back massage, using Kathy's signature flaxseed heating pads.
You will leave feeling grounded and relaxed from this balancing and therapeutic experience.
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork.
An oncology massage is a client-specific, customized massage session designed to meet the unique and changing needs of someone in treatment for cancer or with a history of cancer treatment.
A safe massage plan generally revolves around the side effects (both short- and long-term) of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.
Oncology massage can only be provided by a massage therapist who has received training in the specifics of cancer and cancer treatment.
This training is more about cancer and less about massage.
Each time you rebook your next appointment before leaving your session, you will have the choice of a complimentary add-on for your next massage!
Choose from Aromatherapy, Hot Stones or Exfoliating back or foot Sugar Scrub.
Word of mouth clients are my Favorite!
Each time you refer a new client to me for a massage, you will receive $10.00 off your next session.
No limit to the amount of referrals.
All booked massages in May will receive a Mindful Cuff Bracelet from my Zen Den Art collection.
I'll have them displayed when you come for your massage.
