The demand for Certified, Licensed Massage Therapist is growing.
According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand is expected to grow by 20 percent from 2010 to 2020.
This continued growth in the industry will make a licensed massage therapist very employable.
The Massage Therapy Certificate program at Twin Rivers is comprised of 930 clock hours and can be completed in 14 months.
Graduates of the program will have the knowledge and skills to be employed in a variety of entry-level occupational settings, such as chiropractic clinics, independent practice, or in the health care and spa industries.

This course is a prerequisite to the rest of the program and is designed to give the students an informative history of massage therapy.
Sanitation and safety issues are also discussed.
Students also will learn the basic Swedish stroke and how to be able to apply a full body massage, and a basic knowledge of indications and contraindications.
The physical demands on a massage therapist are explored.
In the A/P course students will study the structure and function of the human body form the smallest cell to the largest system.
