The Shiatsu practitioner will work on a client and identify areas of imbalance; for instance, a Kyo meridian point or a Jitsu area.
By using various shiatsu techniques such as rocking, shaking, stretching, pressing, and tapping, the practitioner can move the Ki and therefore balance the Kyo to be less weak (lacking energy) and the Jitsu to be less tense (resistant to opening).
