I left my job as a Payroll/Benefits Administrator in 2000 due to a progressive eye disease called Retinitus Pigmentosa, which has taken most of my vision. During that time I homeschooled my children and began a quest to learn more about the benefits of physical fitness and proper nutrition in an attempt to heal myself from many undiagnosed ailments.
Through educating myself and from the encouragement of many great fitness programs, I began to feel better, mentally and physically. My desire then took a whole new approach. If I can do that for myself I would love to help others heal themselves as well. I did some volunteer work encouraging and coaching others in fitness and nutrition, and also working with a local chiropractor.
I soon took interest in the benefits of massage as another means to healing our bodies. Through prayer and much contemplation I finally realized that Massage Therapy is where I'm meant to be. I graduated from Omaha Blue Waves Massage and Bodywork Education Center and became licensed shortly after.
