Our mission at TMJ Massage is to deliver life-changing results for our clients suffering from TMJ discomfort and myofascial pain. Our vision has a simple yet clear purpose: to improve the quality of life for our patients. Licensed Muscular Therapist Dominick Fricano (NYS LMT # 022413) of TMJ Massage is one of the region's leading muscular therapist who focuses specifically on alleviating pain associated with TMJ dysfunction and myofascial discomfort.

As someone who experiences TMJ (temporomandibular joint) dysfunction himself, Dominick understands the severity of pain that accompanies this disorder. That's why he has dedicated his practice to restoring wellness and mobility in the lives of his patients. After the first treatment I had never felt such immediate results, after approximately 6 treatments I was fully recovered and it feels nothing short of a miracle.

I was recommended by a TMJ oral facial Dentist to Dominick. I had no idea what this therapy was about but when desperate one will try anything.

The temporomandibular joint is the joint located right in front of your ears where the jaw bone connects with the cheek bone on your skull.
When this joint becomes inflamed (through stress, injury, or damage) symptoms can arise leading to a localized pain disorder called Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJD).
Other names for this pain include TMD, TMJ Syndrome, or TMJ Dysfunction.
So with all the possible causes of TMJ discomfort, how do you actually know if you suffer from TMJD?
Here are some signs and symptoms of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder.
TMJ treatment is focused on the reduction of tension in the muscles of the neck, head and jaw.
Treatment of the muscles involves working inside the mouth for 20 to 30 seconds at a time, alternating between right and left sides.
Attention is also given to the cervical region, shoulders, spinal muscles, and any potential trigger points within those muscles.
When you clench and grit your teeth, your muscles tighten and eventually they retain what is called muscle memory.
That being said, TMJ affects far more than just your jaw.
