Are you currently expecting or recovering from birth? Or are you just a tired parent in need of some pain relief or relaxation? Garden City Prenatal Massage provides you with relief from your aches and pains so you can enjoy your new journey. My studio offers a clean and safe environment. Special body support cushions for the expecting mom and those that are breast feeding make laying safely facedown or side lying very comfortable throughout the pregnancy.
Therapeutic massages are available for the whole family; from pre-pregnancy to birth and beyond. Growing a baby is a difficult task for moms, studies have shown 50 to 80 percent of pregnant women report lower back pain and 50 percent report pelvic pain not to mention lack of sleep and other aches and pains. Back Pain- either lower or upper, between your shoulder blades are very common and mostly appears during the second trimester.
Sciatic nerve pain- Your sciatic nerve is sensitive to postural changes, so pregnancy often puts pressure on it causing discomfort anywhere along your lower back, hips, buttocks and down the back of your legs.

Services
I am Saira Kasper, a Licensed Massage Therapist and owner of Garden City Prenatal Massage.
In 2009, I graduated from the College Of Health Professions as a Licensed Massage Therapist and gained experience working in spas and gyms for 9 years I went on to expand my education in 2017 and received my Mother Massage certification with Elaine Stillerman and then in 2019 became a prenatal massage specialist with Rebecca Overson.
I was inspired to get certified and specialize in prenatal massage after witnessing my wife's experience with massage during her pregnancy with our son.

Prenatal massage is safe for all stages of pregnancy and it can help reduce stress and promote relaxation during pregnancy.
It can reduce and alleviate neck, back and joint pain caused by prenatal posture changes, muscle weakness or tension, the extra weight of pregnancy or imbalance.
Please consult your doctor if you are considered a high-risk pregnancy before beginning a massage treatment plan.
Childbirth (and being a new mommy) can leave you exhausted both physically and emotionally.
Postpartum massage can begin after 5 days of labor and extend for the first 16 weeks after childbirth.

Not at all!
Most of my clients are pregnant, but I am very knowledgeable in working with nonpregnant clients, athletes or overworked parents.
For a full-body massage, we need at least 60 minutes, 75 minutes is even better (we can do a full body massage with extra focus on another area of concern), and 90 minutes is THE BEST (a full body massage, with some extra time on 2-3 areas of choice)!
Shorter sessions of 30 minutes usually focus on 1-2 areas.
Most of these "things" are myths that have been perpetuated over time.
