My own body continues to be my biggest teacher - how it feels, looks, moves, relaxes and contracts all help point me right into the heart of my own awakening. There is nothing quite like feeling my heart pounding and my lungs expanding and contracting as I breathe after moving my body. Just like feeling that blissful moment when I've simply laid down on the massage table ready to tap into relaxation.
Massage has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My philosophy on massage is to work in sync with the body as much as possible. My intention is to go with what we find in a gentle and supportive way and to ride that line between "enough" and "too much" pressure. The massage I give is often a blend of many types of massage including Swedish, neuromuscular therapy, soft tissue mobilization, sports massage and energy work.
Each session will likely look different every time as we honor where we are and what arises in the moment. I have a BS in Health and Sport Studies from Miami University with a major of Exercise Science.
