Natural Harmony Massage
I'm glad you're here! In my 23 years of experience as a massage therapist, I have recognized that restricted movement and discomfort, in myself and my clients, are often caused by stuck holding patterns in the mind and spirit as well as the body. Through bodywork and guided introspection, we can make the deepest possible connection to the sources of physical impairment.

Over a period of time, we have brought into our bodies and our psyches the roadblocks to our "freedom". We need to release these old holding patterns, shift our perception, get out of the way and let Nature flow. At Natural Harmony Massage, you will find a safe place filled with love and light. My Havanese dogs Sophie and Angel bring their unconditional love to all sessions, unless you request they not be in the room with you.

Soft music, lighting, inspirational artwork and words of wisdom will all assist you on your healing journey. You are exactly where you are supposed to be right now. I trust you will find something in this website that will resonate with where you are right now.

Massage Therapy is no longer considered "alternative medicine".
The American Medical Association now recognizes massage and other forms of therapeutic bodywork as "complementary medicine".
Massage is also considered "preventative medicine".
It keeps the muscles healthy, supporting full range of motion and flexibility.
It increases circulation, promoting blood flow which helps eliminate the toxins and waste products that might be attached to the muscle fibers.
The nurturing touch a client receives at the Natural Harmony Massage supports the well being of each individual as a whole person.
There are many types of massage practiced by professional massage therapists.
By far the most common and popular is the Swedish massage, sometimes called relaxation massage or traditional massage.
It was introduced to the U.S. in 1858 as the Swedish Movement Cure.
Swedish massage techniques are used as a foundation in most massage therapies and are used by most massage therapists.
It is the working of superficial layers of muscle and connective tissue using various techniques to enhance function, aid in the healing process, and promote relaxation and well-being.
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue.
Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense.
Will A Deep Tissue Massage Hurt?
It's likely to be a bit more uncomfortable than a classic Swedish massage.
You should always feel free to speak up if the pressure is too much for you.
It's important to be realistic about what one deep tissue massage can achieve.
LaStone Therapy is not your typical "hot stone massage".
It is a trademarked style of massage, founded by Mary Nelson of Tucson, AZ.
LaStone Therapy uses both hot and cold stones (when needed) to massage the body.
The use of cold stones may not sound very appealing, however, they have a very therapeutic effect when used in conjunction with the hot stones.
Alternating between heat and cold both stimulates and relaxes the circulatory system, which is very detoxifying for the body.
In cooperation with heated stones, chilled marble stones create a dramatic movement of fluids within the body.
What is "energy" in terms of bodywork?
There is a Universal Energy Flow that is within everything.
The same kind of energy that created the Universe is within each of us.
Every cell and every tissue in the body vibrates with this life force.
In biology, energy balance is the biological homeostasis of energy in living systems.
There are energy meridians and energy centers in the body that not visible to the "normal" human eyes, but they exist.
There are people, such as medical intuitives, that can "read" the body.
