My name is Kasey Murray (LMBT 9491), and I want to thank you for showing interest in me and my new massage business! Using my knowledge of what I know works, and what I know doesn't, I feel like I have come up with an affordable and consistent concept that is aimed to help set and achieve your wellness goals. She knows a great deal about the body and how one system is connected to another.

Kasey knows exactly how to make muscles respond to various techniques. I always get a very thorough massage that works out the kinks in my strained muscles and relaxes my mind. I have recommended her to several of my friends and colleagues. Kasey Murray is the best massage therapist I know. I was very ill from an accident injury to my neck and back and Kasey worked and worked on my muscles.

Slowly the pain ceased and I began to feel better. Kasey is he most dependable and caring therapist I have ever worked with. I recommend her constantly to everyone I know and recommend her to anyone reading this.

Knowing what type of massage you prefer and more importantly which is best for what is ailing you, is the first step to reaching your wellness goals.
You may already feel like you have a firm grasp on the differences between the massages that we offer, but most people aren't fully aware of the technical differences between these modalities.
Who knows?
There may be a massage better suiting for you and your muscles!
Read on to find out.
Aromatherapy can be added to any of your massage experiences.
A Swedish massage is the most common massage modality used by western therapists.
The most important thing to know about a Swedish massage is that it's a full body massage, intended to relax the client and muscles.
Using long, fluid strokes, the therapist targets and manipulates superficial muscle to attain better blood flow and relaxation.
Other common techniques in a Swedish massage include circular motions, firm kneading, light tapping or cupping, and some bending and stretching of muscles and joints.
Most people commonly confuse Deep Tissue massage with a deep pressure massage.
A Deep Tissue massage manipulates muscle and connective tissue (fascia) beneath the superficial muscles and is a focused massage (meaning not a full body massage).
Deep Tissue massages deal with a specific pain that the client encounters chronically or acutely.
They are not relaxing massages and it is common to be sore for a day or so after a deep tissue session.
Some examples of issues that would benefit from a deep tissue massage are limited mobility, recovery from injury, muscle tension and spasms, or postural issues.
Neuromuscular Therapy focuses on the nervous system and how it effects the muscular and skeletal systems of the body.
A single nerve can innervate several muscles which can refer pain to different parts of the body.
Knowing the Physiology and the Kinesiology of the human body, the therapist can help to relieve chronic pains for the client.
There are several causes of pain that can benefit from Neuromuscular Therapy: Ischemic tissue (soft tissue suffering from a lack of blood flow), nerve compression or entrapment (pressure on a nerve from muscles or other soft tissue), postural distortions (dysfunction and imbalance within the body), Trigger points (specialized, tender points in the body that can refer pain to other parts of the body), and Biomechanical Dysfunction (caused by repetitive motion injuries ie:poor lifting habits).
Hot Stone massage is a relaxing way to get more out of your massage treatment.
Using heated elements allow the therapist to reach deeper tissues in a shorter amount of time.
The stones are heated via steam or water in a hot stone warmer.
They are then used by the therapist with some sort of massage medium (lotion, cream, or butter) to manipulate tissues of the body.
They are then placed on the body until cooled.
The weight and temperature of the stones are extremely relaxing, and in the winter months can really warm the body and soul.
