Let's be honest - it's hard to find a good massage therapist. There are so many who suck - they don't know what they are doing, they don't spend extra time on requested areas of focus, they talk too much, they don't use the right amount of pressure - even when you ask them to change, and sometimes, sometimes, their mother really does dress them funny.
What makes me a rockstar is how well I listen to you. You tell me what you want to do with the time we have, that's what happens. There is no standard massage with me, even if it's our second, third, or twentieth session. My practice is mobile, because it's easiest to relax in your own space. After the massage, you can then chill on the couch, take a bath or just go to bed right afterwards.
I've always felt a little guilty when working at a spa or massage center when I have to send a freshly relaxed person out to drive in our lovely, infamous Northern Virginia/DC traffic. So whether you're in Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax County, Prince William County, South Riding, Ashburn, or even DC, I invite you to spend a session with me, getting the best massage of your life - the one you design yourself.

Since I've been a massage therapist for over a dozen years now, I have developed my own style of massage, which is an amalgam of what I've learned from massage school through every CEU class I've taken.
Mostly, it's a blend of Swedish, deep tissue and lomi lomi (Hawaiian temple style).
It's a comprehensive blend that flows easily, resulting in extreme relaxation, aka feeling like one is in that blissful twilight state between awake and asleep.
For clarity's sake, I'm listing a brief description of those styles below.

This answer is personal.
The standard answer is that an average healthy person should have a massage every 4-6 weeks, massage is like an oil change for your body.
That's fine.
But most people aren't average.
Dealing with an acute issue like coming back from traveling for two days is different than the daily stress from a desk job + 50 mile commute.
Training for a marathon and keeping up with a seasonal sport have different needs as well.
You know your body best, when you're ready for another massage, let me know and we'll make it happen.

To enhance your massage experience, and because I like things that smell good, I offer free aromatherapy during your massage with doTERRA essential oils.
If you are scent sensitive, no worries, it's also entirely optional.
I have a case of twelve oils that I carry with me (that I sometimes stuff an extra 4-5 bottles into).
Along with massage favorites Lavender, Eucalyptus and Peppermint, I also have a few citrus oils (my favorites), and some blends that are good for relaxation, soothing muscles, and/or just smell nice.

Reiki is a clothing-on, light touch (or no touch) energywork that was created in Japan in the 1920s.
It's about healing the source of whatever the core issue may be, whether you're dealing with the flu, or a heartache, or a crisis of faith, or just stress from work.
While the practitioner traditionally moves around the front and back of the body, the energy moves straight to wherever the issue is manifesting in the body.
As with most things, I take Reiki seriously and not-so-seriously.
I'm not one of those people who is all about their lineage and all the mythology associated with Reiki.

I became a massage therapist because I love giving a great massage.
It's highly satisfying to restore someone's range of motion, to work out the knots in their shoulders, to get rid of the tension that's been causing their headaches.
I do not have a standard cookie-cutter massage that everyone gets.
Instead, I discuss with my clients what they need that day, what needs focus, what needs to be avoided, if we're going for relaxation or pain relief and then create their custom massage from there.
My touch can be feather light to as deep as you can stand.
