Heated basalt stones are used in conjunction with traditional massage strokes to deliver a deep warming massage. Sustained compression of trigger points and manipulation of the connective tissue, or fascia, relieves chronic pain and improves range of motion.

Laura is a Pittsburgh native who has been practicing massage therapy for 22 years.
After graduating from NYU in political science, Laura did her initial massage training in Pittsburgh then continued her studies at the Heartwood Institute in the mountains of Northern California.
She then practiced massage for 9 years at a number of spas in and around Los Angeles.
In 2007 Laura returned to Pittsburgh, where she could enjoy the seasons and be near her family.
Soon thereafter, she started her own practice at Pittsburgh's Iyengar studio, Yoga On Centre, and eventually moved to her practice to her current location on Friendship Ave.
The therapist delivers this massage with her feet as you lie comfortably on the massage table.
