JHSM has its' roots in Esalen Style massage, blended with subtle energy work (Reiki) and a unique group of Hands-on techniques focusing on the. With a background in Psychology, Keersha began her study of massage in 1978 and worked for the New School of Massage in Sebastopol, CA. As a bodyworker, Keersha focused offering massage as part of 11-15 day intensive psychological growth workshops.

As a Staff Member in the STAR Foundation, she recognized the value of team effort in integrating bodywork with psychological/emotional work, and continues to develop ways to bring comfort and safety to inner work.

The process of holding space and creating safety for individuals healing traumas has influenced the classes and trainings she offers at JUPITER HOLLOW SCHOOL She has developed an approach to massage therapy that gives Graduates invaluable experience in areas not usually covered in massage classes but valuable in working with clients recovering from physical/or emotional traumas.

Co-authored script for video presentation of "Feeling Good through Massage, The Edgar Cayce Way" for the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) Virginia Beach, VA.(1987).

New and Advanced strokes are taught to work with physical trauma resulting from injury and/or emotional trauma manifesting as physical trauma in the body.
The new training beginning in 2006 is based on Keersha's many years of working in the area of trauma, both physical and emotional.
Her position as massage therapist in the clinical setting was dedicated to working with clients going through difficult emotional times.
