I have been practicing massage therapy full time since graduating from Ashmead School of Massage in 2004. Each year, my love for the career has grown. I am a positive person, who gets great satisfaction in using my natural abilities to decrease a client's pain and stress. I have spent most of my career treating injuries and chronic pain, but enjoy relaxation and stress-reducing massage as well.

Because every person's situation is different, I have learned to personalize my techniques and adjust pressure to fit each client's needs, from very light to very deep pressure. I have most recently begun incorporating foot reflexology into my practice and plan to add more diverse services in the future.

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue.
It is especially helpful for chronically tense areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders.
Therapists apply slow deep strokes, frictions, and deep static pressure.
Deep tissue massage is great at breaking up scar tissue and is often used in treating soft tissue injury due to motor vehicle accidents, and recovering from sports related injuries.
We perform this massage according to your tolerance and need.
There's no denying the power of bodywork.
Regardless of the adjectives we assign to it (pampering, rejuvenating, therapeutic) or the reasons we seek it out (a luxurious treat, stress relief, pain management, ) massage therapy can be a powerful ally in your healthcare regimen.
Experts estimate that upwards of ninety percent of disease is stress related.
And perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress.
While eliminating anxiety and pressure altogether in this fast-paced world may be idealistic, massage can, without a doubt, help manage stress.
Many insurance companies are now covering massage therapy!
Plans vary, so it's best to check with your personal insurance carrier prior to service to be sure it's a covered benefit on your plan.
They can also verify any individual deductibles or co-pays that apply, and whether or not you need a referral/prescription.
Medical Massage is billed in 15-minute increments and priced according to the usual and customary reimbursement fee schedule.
A relaxing Swedish massage is often a baseline for clients.
In a general Swedish massage, your session may start with broad, flowing strokes that will help calm your nervous system and relax exterior muscle tension.
As your body becomes relaxed, pressure will gradually be increased to relax specific areas and relieve areas of muscular tension.
A light massage cream is used to allow your muscles to be massaged without causing excessive friction to the skin.
The cream also helps hydrate your skin.
