Joel is a 1999 graduate of the Balanced Touch Institute, a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, and is a Wisconsin Licensed Massage Therapist. A variety of techniques are available based on Swedish Style Massage and Myofascial Release Therapy. Every appointment is carefully tailored to achieve the client's best possible satisfaction.

One of Joel's goals as a Massage Therapist when welcoming a new client, whether it is their first experience with massage ever, or are an "old pro" of massage therapy, is to take ample time to explain what to expect, what will happen, and to answer questions so as to make the client as comfortable as possible. After the session is completed, the only thing I want the new client to wonder about is "Why haven't I been here before?"

Massage by Joel is an Independent Contractor, offering massage therapy with-in the Marshfield YMCA (membership not required) at 410 W McMillan, a few blocks west off of Hwy 97 on the northeast side of Marshfield, Wisconsin 54449.
Services
Your massage or bodywork session will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room with soft music to help you relax.
You will lie on a table especially designed for your comfort.
Most massage and bodywork techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed: however, you may decide what amount of clothing you prefer to wear for your comfort.
The practitioner will leave the room while you undress, relax onto the table and cover yourself with a clean sheet.
You will be properly draped at all times to keep you warm and comfortable.
While walk-ins are welcomed, appointments do work best.
The YMCA is assisting Massage by Joel with scheduling, so, to talk to a real live person, call 715-387-4900, and ask to schedule a massage.
Exact availability of times may vary, feel free to call 715-387-4900 to inquire, or for other information call Joel directly at 715-389-1111.
For your convenience, Master Card, Visa, and Discover are accepted.
Personal checks are welcomed, and yes, by golly, I have no problem taking (but not in the mail) good old fashioned cash!
The unique color of the Certificates is hard to reproduce accurately online, but gives an idea of what to expect.
Gift Certificates are tastefully packaged in a presentation envelope along with a brochure of What to Expect During a Massage and instructions on how to make an appointment.
The Gift Certificate can be mailed to you, the purchaser, so you can fill in To: & From:, or directly to the recipient, and we will fill in To: & From: as you indicate.
At this time, there is no charge for shipping and handling.
From manufacturers to hospitals to auto dealerships, companies across the country are using seated massage services to make work literally less of a pain in the neck for employees.
Seated massage provides hard- working employees with a convenient method of alleviating the stress inherent in these competitive times.
Slouching at a desk for prolonged periods often results in lower back pain.
Repetitive motion injuries, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, are common among office workers.
A 6 to 12 minute stress-buster' chair massage helps to relieve tension in the muscles and the mind, reducing irritability and increasing morale, plus being good for the body!
When a person thinks of massage, they usually envision a vigorous rubdown at the gym or a long relaxing session at an expensive day spa or salon.
Massage for the elderly, in an age appropriate, or in a more frail state of health, takes on a whole new perspective.
The style of massage taught at DAY-BREAK has been proven to be effective, increasing health and wellness among its recipients.
Because of these factors, massage can become a health maintenance regime to increase the quality of life in the elderly.
