I have a private practice in north Berkeley and have successfully helped a variety of clients with a range of symptoms such as, back, neck, jaw, knee and sciatica pain. I've helped clients improve functions such as: Sitting, standing, climbing stairs, walking and running. I also work with clients who have Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's Disease.

I also have experience working with actors and have helped them improve their sensory and kinesthetic awareness in order to inhabit roles more effectively. I've been a licensed Massage Therapist and Guild Certified Feldenkrais(R) Practitioner for over a dozen years.
Services
I've been in private practice in Berkeley CA as a certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and Licensed Massage Therapist for over 12 years.
Before moving to the Bay area I lived and held a Massage Practice in New York City for many years.
I graduated from a Feldenkrais Professional Training program in New York in 2002.
I've coordinated Feldenkrais Professional Training Programs for The Feldenkrais Movement Institute in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
In the last several years I've studied and assisted my dear friend John Argue in his Parkinson's Disease and The Art of Moving classes at our local JCC.
The impact of human touch is irreplaceable.
Human touch can do wonders for our overall sense of well being.
A healing massage can calm our nervous system and help us experience a deep state of relaxation.
If we can experience this state on a regular basis our immune system has an opportunity to resolve a variety of symptoms such as: aches, pains and inflammations that keep us from feeling optimally healthy.
I believe the primary element for a deeply satisfying massage is the connection between the therapist and the client.
Developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais can help anyone improve their coordination, posture, balance and ease of movement.
The Feldenkrais Method is a physical education process more akin to learning to play an instrument or learning a new language because it requires learning to make sensory-based physical distinctions and sense physical nuances as we increase our awareness.
The Method utilizes that fact that our nervous system and our body is the primary vehicle for learning.
The Feldenkrais Method addresses deep neurological habits that can lead to movement limitations, pain and stress.
What makes a person old?
Some people think it's wrinkles; others say it's stodgy attitudes.
But, really, the culprit is our habits.
When we unlearn old habits and create new ones, we make our bodies and minds younger, stronger, and more flexible.
In essence, we create a more youthful and intelligent body at any age.
The Change Your Age program is a revolutionary new approach to healthy aging and mind-body fitness based on the Feldenkrais Method(R).
This movement-based program leverages new and unusual movements and weaves in cognitive challenges that will help create new neural connections.
In Awareness Through Movement Lessons, people engage in precisely structured movement explorations that involve thinking, sensing, moving and imagining.
In a class setting I verbally guide a group of students through sequenced movement explorations without visual demonstrations.
Without visuals you have the opportunity to interpret the instructions by thinking and sensing.
I guide your attention to highlight and develop your awareness through your senses.
This process will help you create a kinesthetic map of your movement habits as you learn to discover new ways of moving that feel easier and more coordinated.
