Andrew Ezer has been providing deep tissue and sport massage in the East Bay for 20 years. He has worked with Olympians, pro sports teams, competitive athletes, and active adults. His practice focuses on enhancing recovery from workouts and competitions and increasing range of motion. He also works with athletes both pre- and post-surgery. During your first appointment, I will take the time to listen to your concerns and understand the issues that you may be having.

I started competitive swimming at the age of four and was a high school All-American and Division-I level swimmer. I understand and enjoy working with a range of athletes at my East Bay practice in Alameda. From baseball and water polo players, to runners and dancers, I enjoy helping everyone stay in their game. I work closely with the St. Francis Center for Sports Medicine and refer patients that may require additional evaluation.

I also see massage patients at their Walnut Creek facility on Tuesdays.

What is deep tissue massage and why is it important?
Deep tissue is a style of massage therapy that focuses on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia, which is the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints.
The full movement potential of a joint, usually its range of flexion and extension, is your active range of motion.
Whether you are running an ultra marathon, or walking your dog, massage therapy can help any adult perform and enjoy what they love most.
Medical professionals have found that if a patient has maximum strength going into surgery, this aids post-surgery recovery.
